Average critic rating : 85.5 points

This wine is another disappointing offering that appears to be losing its fruit and fat at an accelerated pace. It possesses a medium ruby/garnet color with considerable rust at the edge. The nose offers up aromas of olives, grilled vegetables, and straightforward cherry fruit. In the mouth, the wine is medium-bodied and soft, with some acidity and tannin poking through the meager flesh. This wine needs to be drunk up. Anticipated maturity: Now-2003. Last tasted 3/9.Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book, 3rd Edition # B1

A wine not up to par for Trot's reputation, but it is elegant and balanced with an herbal, ripe fruit character, medium body, soft tannins and a medium finish.--The Bordeaux 50. Drink now. – James Suckling , Wine Spectator 1994
