A hint of mineral reduction adds breadth to the fresh, ripe and cool aromas of just sliced orchard fruit and hazelnut. There is really lovely purity to the saline-infused medium weight flavors that exude a fine minerality on the precise, harmonious and impeccably well-balanced finish. This is a terrific villages and recommended. Tasted: Jun 11, 2013. Drink: 2017+

The 2011 Meursault Les Tessons, which comes from vines next to Michel Bouzereau, is bestowed with an exotic bouquet with scents of dried mango, honeysuckle and yellow flowers. The palate is well-balanced with a crisp entry. It is quite austere at first and takes its time to gradually unwind, leading to a very attractive bitter lemon and fresh apricot finish. Fine. Drink 2016-2024. eRobertParker.com.August, 2014

Domaine Buisson-Charles is run by Catherine Essa-Buisson and her husband Patrick Essa and compromises a modest 6 hectares on the edge of Meursault as well as having vines in Volnay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard. There has been much investment in new vinification facilities and cellars to ensure wine making techniques allow the wines to reflect the terroir. No herbicides are used and this as well as the vine age gives an intensity to the wines, 70% white and 30% red. Vines are between 30 and 90 years of age, with average being 55 years old. Harvest allows 30 to 50 hl per hectare and when the wine is made, it spends time in barrels that are 25 to 30% new oak.
