Half of this wine is fermented in stainless steel to emphasise its fruit flavours. Perfumed, juicy and very attractive with notes of red berry fruit, some leafy freshness and a hint of chocolatey oak. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2018-2024
A Stéphane Derenoncourt wine. Beautiful château just east of Bordeaux. Pretty dramatic concentration of fruit - definitely punches above its AOC weight! Dry finish, but this could well be VGV. Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2021-2028
The 2015 l'Isle Fort is a super-appealing Right Bank wine endowed with considerable aromatic and textural nuance, much of which comes from an unusual blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. The Cabernets add aromatic intensity and structure to a core of intense, ripe Merlot fruit. Frédéric Massie and Romain Bocchio are the consulting Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com
