Fine florality and good black fruits with 12% Cabernet Franc to add lift to the rich blend. Firm tannins for a good future. Apr 2016, Steven Spurrier,, Drink: 2019-2028
Tasting note coming soon. Apr 2016,
The 2015 Le Crock is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 12% Cabernet Franc. It has a pretty, perfumed bouquet with red cherry, blood orange and floral scents, not intense but nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, quite foursquare, the tannin coarse at the moment with a structured, fairly tannic finish that just lacks length. Classic in style, I would broach this after 3-4 years in bottle. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2019-2030
The 2015 Le Crock is a very pretty, fruit-forward Saint-Estèphe that should drink nicely pretty much upon release. Fresh, floral aromatics and bright red/purplish fruits are the signatures in this attractive, mid-weight wine. The 2015 is a bit on the light side, but there is good freshness and plenty of aromatic lift throughout. Apr 2016,
