Aromas of blackberries and dark chocolate, with hints of bark. Full body, with blueberry and dried lemon character. Firm and racy. Try this in four or five years or in 2017. James Suckling,
Floral and berry aromas, with hints of fresh flowers. Full-bodied, with a refined and silky tannin structure and a coffee and berry aftertaste. 55 percent Cabernet Franc and 45 percent Merlot
A very ripe nose with kirsch, plum, a touch of nail varnish and creme de menthe with a lot of toasty new oak. The palate is full-bodied with firm tannins, well integrated oak, reticent towards the finish though. Good density with a touch of melted chocolate becoming evident with further aeration. Fine. Tasted March 2010.
Mid depth of crimson. Hint of hazelnuts – unusual in a red Bordeaux. Rather loose. Attractive, easy fruit but not desperately ambitious.
Elegant and harmonious. Lovely fruit expression. Fine, long tannins. Delicious. Good value. Drink 2014-2024
Roasted herbs that remind me of Provence intermixed with sweet kirsch, damp earth, spice box and a hint of background oak jump from the glass of this dense, plum/ruby/purple-colored wine. Ripe, low in acidity, nicely textured and rounds, this is another wine to drink over the next decade. Wine Advocate.February, 2012
