Average critic rating : 89.5 points

Loads of smoky barbecue notes intermixed with black currant and cherry, in addition to some oak and lead pencil shavings, are followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with impressive concentration, texture and a long finish. There’s nothing astringent – the wine has a velvety mouthfeel and the finish is quite long. It is a major sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next decade. ||This small estate in Pessac-Leognan is largely unknown by most consumers, but they have always made good wine, and 2010 may be the finest Gazin-Rocquencourt I’ve tasted. Wine Advocate.February, 2013

This is a full-bodied plummy, velvety textured Graves red. The flavours are vibrant, well balanced with good concentration. The tannins very well handled, providing the lift and support for the array of flavours this wine offers. A lovely wine with fairly long length. asianpalate.com
