The 2010 is medium to full-bodied, with soft tannins, low acidity, sweet, licorice-infused black currant fruit and a whiff of underbrush. A beauty, it should drink nicely for 10 years or more.||Owned by the Peyronie family, this Pauillac estate produces wines made from a blend of three-quarters Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot. The Fonbadet 2010 has a very ripe, creamy nose that is like walking into a sweet shop, with almond flakes and coconut interlacing the crème de cassis and blueberry. The palate is medium-bodied with good structure, nice firm grip and a touch of Pauillac austerity. Harmonious, composed, good length and class. That nose just needs to calm down, but the palate is very promising. Tasted April 2011. Neal Martin erobertparker.com
