The Chateau de Malle 2010 has a pale-green tinge. The bouquet is attractive, but remains a little oaky at present, while clean and pure with lemon curd and brioche scents surfacing with modest aeration. The palate feels slightly bitter on the entry with sharp acidity and a touch of heat filtering towards the conservative finish. It melds together with time in the glass, losing that alcoholic smudge and gaining more clarity. Drink now-2030. eRobertParker.com.April, 2014

The bouquet on the 2010 de Malle demands some coaxing from the glass, but it is worth waiting for, as there is wonderful minerality waiting to surface. The palate is very well-balanced, with good acidity and botrytis. This is a clean, crisp, precise Sauternes that revivifies the palate, ready for the next sip. De Malle has produced one of its finest vintages to date. Bravo! Neal Martin, Wine Advocate May 2011

Certainly feels heavy in the glass. Not much nose. a tiny bit fishy in fact. Big and a bit barley sugary. Not much subtlety. Quite astringent on the finish. RS 125 g/l, TA 3.9 g/l. 13.5% jancisrobinson.com

Pale, well protected against oxidation by Sulphur Dioxide, seems more fluid because of that, but well balanced and lovely aftertaste. Will show better in six months time. Drink 2018-2030. (16.5 points) Michel Bettane, decanter.com

This wines has wonderful concentration of botrytis notes backed by fresh acidity. De Malle has crafted a very elegant Sauternes with delicate layers of flavours. Impressive length and depth without heaviness. The lovely ethereal characters are appealing and presents a wide drinking window - it will be delicious whether young or 20 years old. This quiet nose gives nothing away. The flavour is all on the front palate, lots of tropical fruits, but that quickly fades with not enough acidity to hold it together.
