A powerful, bold wine, the 2015 Dassault offers notable concentration and depth to match its extroverted personality. Plum, dark chocolate, spice and new leather are all pushed forward in a succulent, racy Saint-Émilion built on volume and textural richness. Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com

The 2015 Dassault has a very ripe, blueberry and cassis-scented bouquet, licorice developing with aeration; this is a heady and opulent Saint Émilion driven by that ripe Merlot. The palate is sweet and rounded, layers of ripe dark cherry, menthol and chocolate-tinged fruit, leading to a finish that needs more freshness and finesse. This just feels a little overblown and for want of a better expression, trying too hard. Apr 2016, www.eRobertParker.com, Drink: 2020-2035

A very pretty wine with blackberry and dark chocolate aromas and flavors. Full body, soft tannins and a walnut, berry aftertaste. Impressive. Mar 2016, www.JamesSuckling.com

This flirts with the exotic, showing blueberry, loganberry and açaí berry flavors backed by dark, slightly briary notes. Not shy with its toast, but the finish is polished and integrated. Mar 2016, James Molesworth, www.WineSpectator.com

Very dark and brooding indeed. Very sweet and exaggerated. Tough tannins. Not fun. Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2020-2030

Modern and appealing. Round, full and juicy with dark fruit aromatics and loads of extract. Plentiful tannins that are ripe, fine and firm. Persistent finish with a touch of oak. Apr 2016, James Lawther MW, www.Decanter.com, Drink: 2022-2032
