2003 Croix de Labrie

A tiny St Emilion property, producing miniscule amounts of wine and compared by Parker to the famous Le Pin, Croix de Labrie should be on the radar of any Bordeaux connoisseur. In previous tastings Parker has directly compared this domaine to Le Pin, one of the most prestigious and expensive wines on the market. At a fraction of the price this is one to seek out. Only around 500 cases of this were made back in 2003. It was rare then and even rarer now.

A St. Emilion fruit bomb, the 2003 Croix de Labrie continues to be voluptuously textured, fat and plush with sweet tannin in addition to copious black cherry and black currant fruit intermixed with hints of incense and truffle. Enjoy it over the next 3-4 years. Wine Advocate.August, 2014
