Now part of Bernard Magrez ever-expanding portfolio, the Chateau Clos Haut-Peyraguey 2010 has an attractive bouquet with honey, peach, marmalade and a touch of creme caramel. It is well- defined with well-integrated oak. The palate has a waxy entry, good acidity, and is fresh and lively with a straightforward lemongrass-tinged finish that shows fine persistency in the mouth. This is a thoroughly enjoyable Sauternes. Drink now-2030. eRobertParker.com.April, 2014

The Clos Haut Peyraguey has a tight, well-defined bouquet with subtle notes of honey, lime flower and brioche. The palate is medium-bodied with fine acidity and a tangible sense of tension, with touches of spice and lemongrass towards the finish. This is an intellectual Clos Haut Peyraguey that might surprise a few people after bottling. Neal Martin, Wine Advocate May 2011

A subtle nose with spices and dried fruits. The palate shows pretty notes of botrytis and fruit. It’s a little short on the finish but it remains opulent. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

Deep copper. Sweet and simple. More acidity please! Just mass. Seems simply sweet rather than subtly sweet. Though there is lots of acidity and chew on the end. RS 128 g/l, TA 3.8 g/l. Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com

The 2010 Clos Haut-Peyraguey has a fascinating nose of marmalade, candied orange peel, and honey, in a very rich, unctuous style exhibiting layer upon layer of dried tropical fruit flavours. This beautifully-crafted wine beguiles with a fantastic palate profile, capped off by a very long finish. Jeannie Cho Lee MW asianpalate.com
