This wine has turned out well and is one of the strongest efforts from this estate in many a year. Three-fourths Merlot and the rest mostly Cabernet Franc, the wine offers up oodles of sweet black raspberry, camphor and black currant along with some forest floor and roasted herbs. Super-fruity, opaque ruby/purple, medium to full-bodied, hedonistic and lush, it should drink nicely for at least 10-12+ years. Wine Advocate.February, 2013

With the assistance of Hubert de Bouard from Chateau Angelus, this property keeps getting better, one step at a time. Earthy, pepper, herbs, plums and coffee aromas catch your interest. The soft, round textures, freshness and vanilla infused black raspberry finish is a pleasure to experience. winecellarinsider.com

There is a wonderful freshness to the fruit character but the palate is dense on this deep ruby coloured wine. this is a big wine with amazing concentration and depth displaying a great potential to age. The tannins are massive but well rounded and tamed - it will take at least five years before his wine is approachable. asianpalate.com
