Average critic rating : 89.0 points

A super effort from Stephan von Neipperg's estate, this blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc was cropped at 32 hectoliters per hectare, and achieved 13% natural alcohol. Copious aromas of spice box, toast, white chocolate, and espresso roast are found in this modern styled St.-Emilion. However, its plushness, rich, concentrated fruit, purity, texture, and overall hedonistic and intellectual appeal are undeniable. Drink it over the next 7-10 years. Wine Advocate.April, 2010

Meat, earth and spice aromas lead to a full body, with a harmonious balance of berries and sweet tobacco on the palate. Long and silky. Best after 2012. 390 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2010
