Another major disappointment, this emaciated, thin wine shows high levels of minerals, structure, and muscle, but no charm, fruit, or succulence. It will last for another 50 years, but will it ever provide any enjoyment? Anticipated maturity: Now-2040. Last tasted, 12/99. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate January 2003

Firm and vivid, offering clear cherry, tobacco and cedar flavors backed by firm, round tannins. it blooms on the finish.--The Bordeaux 50. Drink now through 2000. 2,000 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1994

Pale brick colour - in fact this wine looks more evolved than any other listed here. Light nose, quite evolved with warm, round mineral flavours with a hint of gaminess. Thick, full and furry. The tannins are certainly not uncomfortably dominant but there's a lack of freshness.www.jancisrobinson.com, 23 Sep 2002
