As new scores and reviews emerge, the fantastic 2015 Burgundy vintage goes from strength to strength, providing outstanding buying opportunities from across the appellations.

Below you will find six wines from Louis Latour – four Grands Crus and two Premier Crus – all with scores of over 95 points, some as high as a near perfect 99 points. James Suckling enthused: “Louis Latour, widely considered a top white wine house, also made some amazing reds in 2015 especially from Grand Cru sites. In fact, my favourite wine of the trip was the Louis Latour Charmes-Chambertin 2015. It’s mind-blowing.” James Suckling's scores are summarised below:

  • Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru - 99 points: "A phenomenal wine... only 100 cases were made!"
  • Batard Montrachet Grand Cru - 98 points: "Layered and beautiful."
  • Romanee St Vivant Les Quatre Journaux Grand Cru - 98 points: "A wine with great potential and depth."
  • Corton Les Perrieres Grand Cru - 95 points: "Soft and classy... a joy to taste."
  • Beaune Vignes Franches Premier Cru - 95 points: "Glorious... already gorgeous."
  • Volnay Mitans Premier Cru - 95 points: "Always compressed and refined."

Steen Öhman of Winehog has said “I have never tasted anything like the very best 2015s” and even gone as far advise “I would certainly say stockpile.” A view that Allen Meadows corroborates: “it is a genuinely great vintage and it’s a great vintage from top to bottom.”

With these scores and the strength of this phenomenal vintage, these Louis Latour 2015s are worthy of very serious consideration…
