Chateau Sigalas Rabaud is located in the Sauternes appellation, with 14 hectares under vine, planted with 85% Semillon and 15% Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards are all south facing on a slight slope of silica-gravel soil with a clay base.
Grapes are hand-picked and sorted, in order to select only the grapes exhibiting the best noble rot. After pressing, blending and fermentation, the final wines are matured in French oak barrels for 20 months, using 33% new oak. Chateau Sigalas Rabaud produces on average 25,000 bottles of their grand vin.
