Located in the village of Saint-Estephe, Chateau Phelan Segur has proudly overlooked the Gironde estuary since the early 19th Century. Consisting of seventy hectares of vines planted on gravel and clay soils, the vineyard is divided into four distinct parts, the great diversity of the terroir accounts for Phelan Segur’s complexity. The cellar and vat room are integrated into the chateau in a highly unusual architectural ensemble. Maturation takes place in 50% new French oak barrels for 16-18 months.
