Château Léoville Las Cases is one of the largest and oldest classified growths in the Médoc and without doubt the leading estate in St-Julien. Described by Robert Parker as "unquestionably one of the great names and wines of Bordeaux," even though it is classified as a 2ème Cru Classé, it consistently produces first growth quality wines with some vintages superior to several first growths.
Also from the Leoville Lascases stable is Clos du Marquis - similar in style to its sibling, but with softer tannins and more accessible.
