La Mission Haut Brion Blanc
Château La Mission Haut-Brion is located in Pessac Leognan, southwest of Bordeaux’s city centre. The plantings consist of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon 42.7% Merlot and 10.3% Cabernet Franc for the red, and 85% Semillon, 14% Sauvignon Blanc and 1% Muscadelle for the white.
Red wines mature for 18 to 22 months in barrels, 80% of which are new oak. White wines mature for 9 to 12 months in barrels, 40 to 50% of which are new.
La Mission haut Brion belongs to the Clarence Dillon portfolio who also own Haut Brion although they have not always been sibling properties. Second wines are called La Chapelle de La Mision Haut Brion for the red and La Clarte de Haut Brion for the white. They also produce La Tour Haut Brion.
