Chateau Caronne Ste Gemme is located in Haut Medoc, with their 45 hectare plot on a gravel plateau south of St Julien and a subsoil of iron rich sandstone to the east and clay to the west. Plantings consist of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Harvesting is 70% manual and 30% machine.
The 12 months ageing is in 900 french barrels of 225 L., of which 20% are renewned each year.
