Bouscaut
Chateau Bouscaut is located in Pessac Leognan where just under 50 hectares of property are situated on a gravel and clay soil over limestone. The property is owned and run by a branch of the famous Lurton family. Plantings are split 45% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Malbec for the reds, and white vineyards are divided 50:50 between Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
Red wines receive 12 to 20 months in 50% new oak barrels, white wines receive up to 12 months in 50% new oak barrel maturation period. The second wine is called Les Chenes de Bouscaut.
