Chateau Batailley is located in the south of Paullac and belongs to the prominent Casteja family. The gravelly plateau the 57 hectares sits on gives excellent drainage. Plantings consist of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

The final wine is aged in barrels, 60% of which are new oak. New technology and the latest technology are important at the property.
