Pol Roger Rose
 
Founded in 1849, Champagne Pol Roger now owns 87 hectares of vineyards spread over Montagne de Reims, Vallee de la Marme, Vallee d'Epernay and Cote des Blancs. Perhaps it is best known as Winston Churchill's favourite Champagne, whose penchant for the champagne led to their top cuvée being named in his honour. The house remains family owned and continues to produce elegant, complex Champagnes with fine bubbles and great ageing potential.

Pol Roger's vintage wines are made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay taken from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. Their Blanc des Blancs is 100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru sites. The Rose is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with 15% Still Pinot Noir wine added before the second fermentation to give the characteristic colour. Top cuvee Winston Churchill is a secret blend, which rivals the very best of the region.
