As one of the world's leading fine wine dealers we take wine storage very seriously. That is why we have created The Chamber.

This self-contained, secure, solid walled 'chamber' warehouse sits within the heart of a larger 420,000 square foot, fully insulated, modern warehouse in the Port of Tilbury operated by London City Bond - one of the UK's leading HM Customs approved bonded warehousing and logistics operations.

Our own dedicated cellar team expertly oversees your fine wine storage needs (receiving, checking and racking away your wines within The Chamber) and, supported by our high quality internal monitoring systems, we are confident in claiming our service is second to none.

Storage in brief

Introduction to F+R storage

Storage is charged at £8.52 (excluding VAT) per annum (or part) per case of 12 bottles.
We accept any quantities including single bottles and charge pro-rata.
Wines can be stored Under Bond or Duty Paid.
We accept wines bought from other sources as well as from F+R (sales invoice with purchase values required for Bonded wine).
On receipt, your wines are held in your own separate storage account and title remains with you.
Your wines are insured at full replacement value
Condition Reports are available including digital photographs on any/all wines. Charges apply.
Storage will be charged on any wines that remain uncollected or undelivered after 3 months from availability
Real time market/disposal valuations are available at any time day or night.
Viewing can be arranged by appointment.

Important Information on moving stock into storage with us

What you need to do:

Add wines into your online portfolio that you want sent to F+R Storage (or email / post us the list). Note that we are entitled to act on instructions from anyone who appears to have your authority, so keep all information confidential.

a) Transferring wine from within London City Bond (LCB): please instruct LCB to make the transfer to your F+R Storage Account reference (which we supply).

b) Delivering from other storage locations: **It is VITAL that consignments arrive with YOUR NAME clearly marked as the consignee**

Delivery address: FINE+RARE, c/o LCB, Chill Store, 29-30 Berth, Tilbury Docks, Essex, RM18 7SX, United Kingdom. All consignments must be booked-in on +44(0)137 585 3811 quoting your F+R Storage Account reference provided. Under Bond Wines

UK Bonded transfers / deliveries as above, but for overseas deliveries please contact us beforehand on +44 (0)207 089 7407.

HMRC require (you to supply) proof of purchase invoice values for any wines being transferred / delivered under bond where you wish to take delivery to an EU home address in future.

(Further under bond transfers and / or on-selling of the wine is not affected.)

c) Collections can be arranged by FINE+RARE at charges prevailing. Note that all wines must be packed in high quality cartons with dividers.

PORTFOLIO VIEW:
On receipt of your wines you will receive email confirmation of the wines received which will then also be present in your online Portfolio.

Charges and deliveries

Storage Charges:

Cases of 12 bottles are charged £8.52 ex VAT per annum, or part thereof, in arrears unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Half cases are charged at £4.26 ex VAT per annum as above and single / multiple bottles are charged pro-rata.

Condition Reports:

Charged at £3.80 ex VAT per individual report, Condition Reports on any wine in your storage account will include a digital photograph, descriptions of labels, levels capsules and other notable items.
Except for any wines supplied directly from us, we do not check or supply condition reports for your wines unless expressly instructed.
We do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage claimed in respect to the particular contents of cases unless the content has been condition checked by us.

Delivery from Your Storage Account:

We can arrange delivery, or collection from your storage account.
To protect your wines written delivery instructions are required without exception for all releases from Storage.
Charges for delivery or transfer will apply according to LCB standard rates and our general terms and conditions apply.
Wines that remain un-collected after 3 days will be re-landed into storage and handling and storage charges will apply.
