Founded by Mark Bedini and Bud Cuchet in 1994, Fine+Rare experienced
immediate success in selling exclusively to the Trade.
After several years of continued growth we recognized that a fair number
of private collectors had joined our mailing list and that it was probably
time to turn attention towards them. Since then we have seen Private Client
business grow to represent a substantial majority of our revenues and we
have invested in recruiting and training increasing numbers of professional
Account Managers to look after their specific needs.
Technology was always a high priority for Fine+Rare and the origins of what
is now called 'WineDesk' date back to 1996 when our first Web site was
launched off the back of the wine sourcing platform we had developed by
that time.
WineDesk is now a fully realised, built for purpose, 'end-to-end technology
solution' and provides the bedrock of our continuing success within
this highly competitive industry enabling Fine+Rare to thrive as a totally
different business model to any of its competitors.
