More than £18,000 has now been raised for military charity Help for Heroes through sales of Warre's Vintage Port.
The estate's 2009 wine was bottled with the intention of helping to support the valuable the work the charity does to assist soldiers wounded in action and their families, the Drinks business reports.
Owner Symington Family estates explained that the 2009 vintage marked the 200th anniversary of the liberation of the French city of Oporto by British forces, led by the Duke of Wellington.
William Warre fought as a cavalry officer in the war, and was later given's Portugal's highest military honour for his bravery.
A cheque for £18,240 has now been presented to the charity at the Personal Recovery and Assessment Centre at Tedworth House in Wiltshire.
Managing director Paul Symington, who made the award personally, said: "We are really delighted that our decision to launch a Warre's Vintage Port in honour of this young soldier should have raised so much money for today's wounded, Captain William Warre would undoubtedly have been pleased.
"The Warre 2009 is an incredibly elegant and complex wine that will age superbly for many decades."
Bryn Parry, chief executive officer and co-founder of Help for Heroes, said the group was "honoured" to have been through of in such a way by the port producer.
"It's heartening to think that the actions of one soldier 200 years ago have gone towards helping fellow soldiers in another era. Help for Heroes is all about 'doing your bit' and Warre's support is fantastic," he added.
The firm which eventually became Warre's was first founded as Burgoyne & Jackson back in 1670.
