Renowned three-Michelin-starred California restaurant The French Laundry is to make a fleeting appearance in London this autumn.
It has been confirmed that chef Thomas Keller and his staff will recreate the Napa Valley eatery on the fourth floor of department store Harrods for ten days, serving exquisite cuisine and fine wines, eater.com reports.
Speaking to the website, Mr Keller hinted that this may be a trial run for opening a new restaurant outside of the US.
"If I did another fine dining restaurant it would be in another country, which more or less scares the hell out of me anyway," he said.
Guests at the restaurant will enjoy a tasting menu of nine set courses, including French Laundry favourites such as caviar-based Oysters and Pearls and new dishes.
This follows the recent opening of the new Cellar Bar at the South Lodge Hotel near Horsham, which gives drinkers a unique opportunity to sample up to 16 different Bordeaux wines by the glass.
