Sir David Frost, the journalist famed for his interviews with Richard Nixon in 1977, will sell off part of his Bordeaux collection when he moves house.
The veteran satirist will put a bottle of Chateau Lafite-Rothschild 1865, a bottle Chateau Margaux 1870 and several Mouton-Rothschild 1945s under the hammer in a Christie's auction in June.
Of particular interest to collectors will be a single bottle of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1853, the first vintage produced after the estate was purchased by Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild.
"My education in wine was really initiated at Gonville and Caius College Cambridge, where I devoted at least as much zeal to this subject as I did to my more official education in the subject of English literature," said Sir David.
Sir David Frost has interviewed eight British prime ministers spanning between 1964 and 2010, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Emmy Awards in 2009.
