Rules to remember when building a wine cellar
Collectors of fine wine who want to invest in their own cellar to store those rare chateau Mouton Rothschild and vintage Cheval Blanc have been offered some advice on how to go about it.

A recent article on Askmen.com advised collectors to separate drinking decisions from investment decisions - in order to draw a clear mental line between that Mouton Rothschild bought as a moneymaker and a less illustrious brand meant for imbibing.

Next, the article advises against buying more than half a dozen bottles of any single wine, as this amount is more than enough for entertaining and any more may hinder the discovery of new wines.

Finally, remember that nearly everybody drinks less wine than they buy, so bear in mind the longevity of each vintage and stagger purchasing decisions accordingly.

Additionally, thewinedoctor.com recommends a temperature of between ten and 13 degrees C for the ideal wine cellar.
