The 25th anniversary of Oregon's International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) will bring together a number of well-known figures in the wine industry, including New York Times critic Eric Asimov and Dominique Lafon of Burgundy's Domaine des Comtes Lafon.
This year's Grand Seminar will feature a discussion of ten Pinot Noir wines, to explore the impact that decades of cross-pollination and exchanges of ideas have had on evolution of the grape and wine.
Additionally, the event will host 50 guest chefs from Oregon's top restaurants, with a Burgundy-inspired menu planned for the Grand Dinner on July 29th.
The first IPNC was held in 1987 and the event has been described by the Times columnist Jancis Robinson as "one of the most enjoyable wine weekends in the world".
Later this month, the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival will aim to rekindle the public's appetite for vintage port by serving the 150-year-old Taylor Fladgate Scion, alongside a selection of other Taylor's ports.
