The New Zealand region of Marlborough, home of Cloudy Bay, is to play host to the 16th Romeo Bragato wine conference between August 26th and the 28th.
Due to be held at the Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000, the conference will discuss issues from the state of New Zealand's wine industry to marketing, viticulture and finally an awards ceremony.
Speakers at the event include plant scientist Dr Jeff Bennett, wine microbiologist Rebecca Deed and research manager for chemistry at the Australian Wine Research Institute James Kennedy.
Meanwhile, an industry leaders' forum will include delegates from Cloudy Bay, Dog Point, Constellation NZ and Neudorf Vineyards.
"Our focus is about bringing people up to speed with what we've been finding and giving a little bit of vision for the future," NZ Winegrowers science and innovation manager Philip Manson told stuff.co.nz.
The conference is named after Romeo Bragato, the viticulturist who laid the groundwork for New Zealand's wine industry after arriving at Bluff in 1895.
