Australian wine alliance NILWA has concluded a tour of some of New Zealand's top wineries, including a tasting session at the barrel room of the Cloudy Bay vineyard.
The Shout reports that a group of wine lovers spent time exploring the Marlborough district, where they learned about the different wines and processes that create each bottle.
Alex and Marcel Giesen were on hand to take the travellers around Marlborough sauvignon blanc, pinot noir and pinot gris wines, while a comprehensive tasting session at the Cloudy Bay vineyard was also held courtesy of Moet Hennessy.
"Every winery we visited possesses something unique that makes their wines marketable back in Australia," NILWA managing director Martin O'Mara told the publication.
"We have learnt a lot from the sessions at each winery and had some fun, further cementing relationships along the way."
Earlier this month, the annual Marlborough Wine Festival took place in New Zealand, attracting nearly 8,000 people - with Cloudy Bay cellar door manager Tiffany Guillemot among them.
