Heavy metal band Motorhead have become the latest rock group to enter the wine world.

Australia's AC/DC recently launched their own range of wines, taking on the old world classics from Bordeaux and Burgundy with names such as Black in Black Shiraz, playing on some of their most famous hits.

Now Motorhead have got in on the act, releasing a Shiraz that was "carefully selected by the hard-rock legends" and produced by Australia's Broken Back winery.

The wine promises soft, rounded tannins with flavours such as vanilla, blackberries, plums, eucalyptus and liquorice.

It is recommended as the perfect accompaniment to lamb chops grilled with garlic and rosemary, but lead singer Lemmy offers a warning, saying: "My advice is – approach it with caution. I mean, wine is deceptive, anything can happen."

The wine has already proved very popular among fans of the band in Scandinavia and is now to be released in the UK.
