Luxist magazine invites votes for world's finest wines
Wine lovers are being urged to vote for their favourite tipple in Luxist magazine's Reader's Choice awards, the results of which are due to be announced on July 1st.
In the International White Wine category, readers of the luxury goods magazine have the choice between chateaux de Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape, chateau d'Yquem, chateau Lynch-Bages, chateau Margaux and chateau Smith Hait Lafitte.
Meanwhile, the International Red Wine category once again features Margaux alongside chateau Mouton-Rothschild, chateau Lafite-Rothschild, chateau Pape Clement and chateau Pichon-Longueville.
The Luxist Reader's Choice Awards is also searching for opinions on the world's finest Champagne, from which readers have their pick of Cristal, Dom Perignon, Krug, Pommery and Veuve Cliquot.
This latter Champagne producer pioneered the practice of remuage, through which bottles are turned by hand to push sediment into the neck for emptying - so Champagne drinkers can thank Veuve Cliquot when they enjoy a sediment-free glass.
