A top London nightclub has just sold the world's most expensive bottle of champagne.
The One for One club had only taken delivery of the Nebuchadnezzer of Armand De Brignac on the same day that it caught the eye of one wealthy drinker, Business Review Canada notes.
An unnamed European businessman made the purchase, spending a record £80,000 on the wine.
Such was the size and value of the bottle it required two staff to safely carry it to the patron's table, and three club workers had to be on hand to pour each glass as and when required.
The club director is said to be so pleased with the sale that he is already "speculating repeat orders", the article reports.
Armand De Brignac is made by Cattier Champagne, which has been producing wine from the Montagne de Reims region since 1763.
The blend is developed from three different grape varietals - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
