The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust will hold a prestige Champagne tasting next month in London.
According to the Drinks Business, the charitable arm of the Royal Warrant Holders Association wants to raise funds to help support its work with those who specialise in traditional craftmaking.
For the cost of the £85 ticket, guests will get the chance to try some classic Champagne vintages, including a 1998 Veuve Cliquot La Grande Dame.
Krug Grande Cuvee, 2002 Bollinger La Grande Annee and 2002 Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage will also be available for tasting.
The event will be held at Fishmongers Hall, London Bridge, on May 10th. Two tasting sessions will be on offer, one in the early afternoon and one in the evening.
Perrier-Jouet cellar master Herve Deschamps still believes that there is a misconception about Champagne.
He feels that many people still consider it an aperitif, when in actual fact it is a fine wine that should be paired with food.
