The finest wines that Italy has to offer are coming to London as part of a one-day tasting and tutoring event at the Dorchester Hotel on October 12th.
Borsa Vini, which translates as "a marketplace for wine", will offer oenophiles the chance to learn more about the best Barolo, Barbaresco and Brunello di Montalcino wines, among others.
According to the Drinks Business, the event will cover 41 different producers from 11 regions, with some of the most important vinters coming over to talk to enthusiasts and share their thoughts on the future of the industry.
Also in attendance will be renowned Italian wine expert Peter McCrombie, who will be delivering a lecture on "The Wines of the Volcanoes", explaining how the country's explosive landscape helped to shape the fine wines that are produced today.
The Italian town of Barolo recently opened an interactive museum designed to take visitors on an "emotional journey" through the region's wine history.
