Henri Jayer is the latest Burgundy estate to release some of its private cellar wine for sale in Hong Kong.
Demand for Bordeaux wines in Asia has cooled, with drinkers instead switching their attention to the top Burgundies, such as Domaine de la Romanee-Conti.
Now Henri Jayer will put 102 lots of its rare vintages under the hammer at a sale conducted by Christie's in Hong Kong.
Taking place on February 10th, the sale will include three bottles of 1978 Richebourg and a case of 1985 Vosne-Romanee premier cru Cros Parantoux.
Charles Curtis, head of wine for Asia at Christie's, believes that as one of the most important names in Burgundy, the Henri Jayer sale will prove popular with bidders.
"This is a sale of historic dimension featuring wines of perfect provenance and condition, a unique opportunity to purchase wines of extraordinary rarity that will never be repeated again," he added.
