Fine + Rare has been shortlisted for the coveted Blackberry Growth Strategy Award.
The company’s expertise in the fine wine trade saw it picked out for the potential of winning the accolade.
It will now face a Dragon’s Den-style interview in front of a judging panel before the winners are unveiled at the National Business Awards ceremony in London on November 13th.
Competing in the same category are Ella’s Kitchen, chopping board manufacturer Joseph Joseph and Lycamobile.
Fine + Rare trades more than 45,000 wines each year to customers in more than 60 different nations.
“We are revolutionising a traditional market by providing more than ten times as many wines as our largest competitor, which is a dream to our customers,’ said CEO Graham Sumeray.
Chair of judges, Baroness Virginia Bottomley, said: “This year has been a challenging environment for British businesses: these finalists demonstrate how companies are succeeding in the current climate through innovation, originality and tenacity.”
