Premium Champagne estate Dom Perignon has launched its 2003 vintage in five cities simultaneously.
Unveiling events were held in London, New York, Paris Tokyo and Hong Kong, with a live link-up between the cities.
So while London journalists enjoyed caviar on beetroot jelly, hot foie gras and salmon risotto, New Yorkers were enjoying their breakfast.
Dom Perignon put live pictures from the other events on the walls, along with a Twitter feed which showed guests posting about their experiences.
As for the wine itself, Dom Periognon chef de cave Richard Geoffrey said the whole process had been difficult, but the estate always knew the quality was there.
"It was a challenge to make it Dom Perignon – to find the Dom Perignon style, but there was never the slightest doubt that we would produce a vintage that year," he said.
Meanwhile, Moet & Chandon has put a case of six bottles of the extremely rare 1911 vintage on sale in London department store Harrods, priced at £65,000.
