Divino Enoteca to open in Edinburgh
Edinburgh could be the new city of choice for those wishing to sample rare wines like Nuits St Georges and Pichon Lalande, after a new restaurant opens in August.
Divino Enoteca will open in Edinburgh's Grassmarket next month and will offer as many as 200 rare wines from Enomatic dispensers, which are designed to keep wine fresh, Harper's Wine and Spirit reports.
Tony Crolla, the owner of the forthcoming establishment, said it will be the first venue in Scotland to offer the Enomatic technology.
"It means that people who may have always wanted to try a rare vintage, but who have been denied because of the cost of a full bottle or difficulty in sourcing the wine, can now do so," he told the publication.
The restaurant will also serve a range of Italian delicacies, including Salami, fine cheeses, gourmet breads and marinated vegetables. Sebastiano Inaliso has been appointed as sommelier.
