Chateau Haut Brion was the standout performer at Sotheby's opening Fine and Rare Wine auction in New York.
All lots were sold at the auction, which achieved total revenue of $2.3 million (£1.43 million) as all lots sold, the Drinks Business reports.
Chateau Haut Brion was the star of the show, with one case of the 1982 Bordeaux achieving $15,730 (£9,824).
Meanwhile, 12 bottles of the 1990 sold for $10,285 (£6,421), and $19,360 (£12,085) was paid for a case of 1989.
Sotheby's head of wine for the US, Jamie Ritchie, told the publication that the sale attracted bidders from across Asia, Brazil, Mexico and the US.
"This was our first evening wine sale in New York since October 2008 and a full saleroom enjoyed an excellent dinner by our boardroom chef Peter Marello, alongside a range of wines from our new retail wine business," he said.
Other Bordeaux wines will be attracting interest from bidders on April 2nd.
The inaugural Heritage wine auction will feature numerous bottles of classic Bordeaux, including an 1898 Chateau Lafite Rothschild.
