Champagne label Armand de Brignac has produced a new bottle format that is larger than a Nebuchadnezzar.
The Midas is a 30-litre bottle, equivalent to 40 70cl bottles while also dwarfing the 20-litre Nebuchanezzar, the Drinks Business reports.
Named after the mythological king who turned everything he touched to gold, each bottle is handmade and carries Ace of Spades insignia and pewter labels.
The bottle is coloured with Armand de Brignac traditional shade of gold and is presented in a velvet-lined case, the publication notes.
Champagne enthusiasts looking to obtain a Midas can expect to pay around £60,000.
Another Champagne label introducing new packaging is Taittinger. The brand recently announced that it will be releasing special edition stone cases for its 2000 Comtes de Champagne prestige cuvee.
Each case is made of stone from the iconic cathedral in Reims, with proceeds from each sale of the wine going towards upkeep of the historic monument.
