Champagne label Dom Perignon is to pay tribute to pop-art icon Andy Warhol, with a series of specially-designed bottles.
Artists from the Central St Martin's School of Art & Design were commissioned to design three labels in red, blue and yellow, in tribute to Warhol's unique colour prints, Harpers Wine & Spirit reports.
These labels will adorn bottles of Dom Perignon Vintage 2002, which will go on sale this month at Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.
"This design offers an opportunity to talk about Dom Perignon alongside one of the most iconic figures within visual art, while creating something stylish, rare and aspirational," Emelie de Vitis, marketing manager for Dom Perignon UK, told the publication.
CIVC communications director Daniel Lorso recently claimed that the 2010 harvest in Champagne has been very promising, following a warm July that ensured the grapes ripened early, with enough selections to ensure a high-quality vintage.
