This year's London International Wine Fair (LIWF) will include representatives from a leading Bordeaux winemakers' union for the first time.
The Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux (UGC), which represents some of the best-known names in the Bordeaux regions of Margaux, Pauillac, St Julien, Sauternes, Pomerol and St-Emilion, will be at the event, according to the Drinks Business.
Officials from Chateau Clinet, Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, Chateau Canon La Gaffeliere, Chateau Leoville Barton, Chateau Climens and Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande will be in attendance.
UGC president Sylvie Cazes told the publication: "It is very important for us to maintain contact with our traditional base as well as win new markets for the Bordeaux Grands Crus."
A dedicated stand at the LIWF, which will be held at the ExCel, will give visitors the chance to taste examples of the 2007 Bordeaux vintage from more than 100 of the region's chateaux, organisers Brintex have confirmed.
