Iconic super-spy James Bond may be given a new tipple of choice, after a Bordeaux chateau agreed a deal to feature its wine in the latest films.
Chateau Angelus owner Hubert de Bouard told Decanter Magazine that he has negotiated with producers to have Angelus written in as the preferred label for 007.
Mr de Bouard said the reaction to 1982 Chateaux Angelus appearing in the Casino Royale film was "unbelievable", prompting him to push for the Bordeaux wine to be included in more features.
"James Bond is a connoisseur, which is why I'm glad he drinks the '82 in that scene. Nothing is confirmed yet and we have to finalise the agreement, but I am confident that Angelus will feature in many future Bond films," he told the publication.
Despite filing for bankruptcy in New York earlier this week, MGM Studios has since confirmed its intention to release the 23rd Bond film in November 2012.
