Wine magazine Decanter will host an event next month giving fans of Piedmont the chance to meet top producers from Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba and Langhe e Roero.

Highlights from Piedmont will take place at the Institute of Directors in London on September 20th and will make more than 100 wines available for tasting, while a separate session for the wine trade will take place earlier in the day.

A seminar will also be held for people in the industry, providing insights into the diversity of Barolo vineyards.

"The quality of Piedmont wines has never been better than it is today," commented Decanter contributor Stephen Brook.

"This is a chance to see [and] to taste some fantastic wines and find out there is more to Piedmont than Barolo."

It follows the release of a new wine book by Matthew Gavin Frank, which details the author's experiences picking grapes in the hamlet of Barolo.
