Much has been made of the exceptional quality of Bordeaux 2009, but for those who are buying for pleasure rather than business, some prices have been off-putting.
Haut Brion 2009, for instance, is already selling for close to $1,000 (£645) per bottle according to ARTINFO, while Palmer, Ausone and Cheval Blanc are similarly out of range for all but the deepest pockets.
However, the magazine has suggested some more affordable options that will allow wine lovers to get a taste of this unique vintage.
The chateaux Climens and Smith Haut Lafitte have been rated among the best of the 2009s and can be picked up for around $100 (£65), while d'Issan and St Pierre are also "relative bargains" at $60 and $75 (£39 and £48) respectively.
