Australian rock band AC/DC have launched a new business venture in the world of wine.
The group have linked up with Australian vineyard Warburn Estate to create a range of wines to be sold primarily in their homeland, helping the New World market compete with Old World classics from Bordeaux and Burgundy.
Bottles in the range have been named after some of the band's most well-known hits: Highway to Hell Cabernet, Back in Black Shiraz and You Shook Me All Night Long Moscato.
The Shiraz is described as "performing like a world tour taking centre stage", while the Moscato is clearly aimed at female drinkers, with promotional material suggesting it is "perfect for lady rock fans".
AC/DC are not the only rock stars to have decided to turn their wine enthusiasm into a business interest.
Whitesnake have also launched their own tipple, the Whitesnake Zinfandel 2010.
Band leader David Coverdale described the wine as a "bodacious, cheeky little wine, filled to the brim with the spicy essence of sexy, slippery snakeyness".
