Andre Bart

Just 50 years ago Domaine Andre Bart only had 6 hectares of vines, much of which was associated with the famous Clair-Daü domain and now numbers 21 hectares. Martin et Odile arrived in 1982 with their family and founded the “Groupement Agricole d'Exploitation en Commun” (GAEC) in 1987 with the aim to continue working the terroir to create classically styled wines. The wines to this day are with the same aims, and despite the growing popularity of their fresh style the prices remain reasonable and sells out quickly. The average age of the vines is 30 years old and the white wines get 10 months on oak whilst it is 16 to 18 months in oak for the red. Grands Crus include Bonnes Mares and Chambertin Clos de Beze.
